It’s crazy, I know! Hey y’all, thank you very much for checking out Becoming a Mommy! If you follow me on my other blog, you are probably wondering what all this is about. But in a minute, I will explain it all. I decided to do a bit of a Q & A to properly introduce this new website and how it has come to be.
Shall we begin….
Where are you from?: Blantyre, Malawi.
Kids?: Well, as you may have noticed, I just became a new mommy to a precious little life. So yes, I am happy to say that I have a baby boy to my name. Sounds so surreal to write that out.
Married?: If you have this question in mind, then I know for sure that you did not read the biography. Please do. However, to cut the long story short, I am not married. Not one that is too enthusiastic about the marriage institution that is shoved down our throats.
Why start “Becoming a Mommy”?
For those that follow my personal blog, this could be a question you have right now. Well, this is the reason why this blog post is up. I decided to start a new blog because needed a new space for the new life journey I have started.
In every sense of the word, I have just become a mommy. While the other blog is still efficient enough for me to merge my new experiences, I felt like starting a clean sheet. I wanted a space on the internet to just freely share about my pregnancy and parenting experiences.
I wanted to have an audience that is craving to read this new content and share their own personal experiences as well.
To make it easier to understand, I wanted something new for the new life I have been blessed with.
Does this bring an end to Louisa Msiska?
Hell no! Louisa Msiska is a treasured gem to me. I have shared so much on that blog and will continue to do so. I will admit that I am still scared about how I will be able to run two blogs at once, but I am sure I will figure it out. Planning is the best answer and I am trying hard to make sure that my plans are clear enough.
Will I prioritize one blog over the other? As much as I would like to say no, this is bound to happen at some point. But like I’ve said, I will do my very best to make sure that they are both booming seamlessly.
What’s your goal for the new blog?
My long-term goal is to document my parenting journey. Being pregnant and not being able to share was pain on its own. I figured, there had to be an outlet for my thoughts. So, documenting my and my baby’s journey is the first goal of this blog.
While I do that, I also want to engage with other new and experienced mommas. I want to use this space to learn from others while I also do my best to teach other new moms who are trying to figure it out like me.
With Becoming a Mommy, I want to create that space where all types of mums can share and vent. Hopefully, I can be a helping hand to someone else and make their day.
If you ever find yourself smiling while reading, just knows that I’ve done my job.
Again, thank you very much for checking out Becoming a Mommy. Hopefully, I’ll be seeing you frequently. If you have any questions, do not be shy, simply go to the contact page. Also, please make sure to sign up for the newsletter to not miss out on a few extras.
Have a beautiful day! xx
